Technical Project Manager (Remote)


As a Technical Project Manager, you will be responsible for excellence in project delivery for our clients, specifically focused on more complex projects. Your role is to develop and maintain a project plan, outlining a technical project's tasks, milestone dates, status, and allocation of resources to internal team members as well as clients. You will be responsible for clearly defining and quantifying each step, as well as establishing concrete deadlines for each project milestone and deliverable


Essential Functions

  • Ensure that work is delivered on time, within budget, in accordance with Shaw/Scott’s commitment to excellence
  • Coordinate internal resources across all teams that are engaged to support the work you need delivered
  • Manage project schedules, milestones, and deliverables
  • Work closely with the Client Success team to develop project scope and objectives, involving all relevant stakeholders
  • Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation to track each team’s milestones and completion dates compared to project scope
  • Work with the team to ensure effective communication, consistency, and efficiency across practice areas


  • Advanced communication skills (excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills)
  • Highly proficient in Excel and other project management tools/software
  • Well-organized, self-directed, and detail-oriented
  • Ability to perform under pressure and meet deadlines while demonstrating enthusiasm towards colleagues and clients
  • Ability to maintain cross-functional relationships and work collaboratively in a team environment
  • Driven to create a sense of team camaraderie
  • Display curiosity and a willingness to push your own thinking and the agency’s work in new directions

Required Education and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in a related field
  • 5+ years of experience in digital marketing, preferably with an emphasis on email marketing
  • 5+ years of experience in project and/or account management
  • Experience with project managing complex digital marketing projects (e.g. ESP migrations, data integration/implementation projects)
  • Experience with project management tools, such as Jira, Basecamp, Asana, Workfront, or Mavenlink
  • Agency experience preferred

Work Environment / Travel

Business hours are Monday to Friday, with a typical 9 to 5 schedule in your respective time zone. Although rare, some weekend and evening work might be necessary, especially for projects with tight deadlines. Some client on-site meetings may be required, depending on industry and client needs.
